FAQS

Q. How do I sign up for Group Lessons?

A. Please call 303-798-7946 or email info@swimlabs.com to schedule Group Lessons so we can assure that your swimmer is placed in the appropriate class.

Q. How do I sign up for Competitive Lessons?

A. You can schedule lessons online here or you can call us to schedule your lesson.

Q. What do I need to bring to my lesson?

A. Please bring a towel, goggles, cap or hair tie (for swimmers with long hair) and a swimsuit. All of these items are available for purchase at SwimLabs. Swimmers who are not potty-trained are required to wear an approved waterproof diaper.

Q. Do you offer Make-Ups for missed classes?

A. SwimLabs Group Lessons are in high demand. By reserving this time slot, you are agreeing to pay for your spot regardless of your child’s attendance. It is your responsibility to make sure that your vacations, appointments and other activities do not interfere with the classes you are enrolled in. Due to the structure of our curriculum, your swimmer will progress best by attending their regularly scheduled lesson time.

However, if your swimmer is on Auto-Pay, we allow one make up per month depending on class availability. We do not prorate or push classes out on the schedule for missed lessons.

Q. Do I have to start at the beginning of the month (when is the next session)?

A. No. SwimLabs has a rolling start date so your swimmer can start at any point.

Q. Do I get a discount for multiple children?

A. We do not offer a discount for multiple children. Please ask about our referral program.

Q. Are these the only pools you have?

A. Yes. We teach in the constant current SwimLabs Pools because they are the perfect environment for learning to swim and for becoming a faster swimmer.

For children learning to swim, the pools offer a warm, secure environment. There is less distraction and stimulation, allowing the child to focus. We also have a bench inside the perimeter of the pool providing the child a secure and safe place to stand when not working with their coach.

For competitive swimmers and triathletes, being in the SwimLabs Pools provides our coaches a 360° view of each swimmer's stroke, including an underwater angle. Like a treadmill for a runner, our pools have a current that allows the swimmers to swim in place, enhancing the effectiveness of the videos captured.

Our SwimLabs Pools are always kept between 90-92° Fahrenheit, increasing the comfort and efficiency of each lesson.

In addition, we do regularly rent out full-lane pools. Join our email list or contact us for opportunities for lessons in the pools.

Q. How does Auto-Payment Enrollment work for Private and Group Learn-to-Swim Lessons?

A. Auto-Payment for Group Lessons allows your child to be enrolled in the same lesson on the same day and time each week. It also guarantees your spot in that class for an ongoing period of time. Auto-Payment for Private Lessons allows you to have the same consistent instructor and schedule.

Recurring payments will be charged on the first business day of each month.

Initial payment will be due upon registration and will be prorated to the first of the month.

There is a two-month minimum commitment. If you withdraw from the Auto-Payment Program prior to the end of the two-month minimum, you will be charged in full for the second month.

Group Lessons Only: Each month you will be charged for the number of lessons based on the number of weeks for that month (For example, if there are 5 weeks in a month and you have 5 lessons for that month, you will be charged for all 5 lessons. If there is a holiday on one of your lesson days, you will not be charged for that lesson day.)

*Private Lessons will be switched to this policy effective June 1st, 2019.

Q. How do I withdraw from Auto-Payment Enrollment?

A. Your child will be enrolled in Auto-Payment until we receive written notification via email to info@swimlabs.com or a withdrawal form is filled out and turned in to the front desk.

*The email must be submitted by the 15th of the month prior to avoid being charged for the following month. There are no exceptions.

*Phone calls or leaving a voicemail message does not constitute a written withdrawal.

Q. How do I suspend from Auto-Payment Enrollment?

A. Your child will be enrolled in Auto-Payment until we receive written suspension request via email to info@swimlabs.com or a suspension form is filled out and turned in to the front desk.

*SwimLabs will charge a holding fee of $10 per month.

*Clients who are on suspension and choose to discontinue lessons permanently will need to fill out a withdrawal form by the 15th of the month prior and will not be reimbursed for the holding fee. SwimLabs does not provide refunds for withdrawals during the current month or for forms turned in late.

*Phone calls or leaving a voicemail message does not constitute a written notice.

Q. Can I sign my child up to take Group Lessons only every other week?

A. Group Lessons must be once per week because we have designed our program to work the best when we see swimmers on a consistent, once-a-week basis.

Q. What is your cancellation policy for Private Lessons?

A. SwimLabs requires a 48-hour notice for Private Lesson cancellations and rescheduling. If you call to cancel or reschedule within this window, you will be charged a $25 late cancel/reschedule fee. Any lessons late cancelled with an elite coach will be charged a $40 late cancel/reschedule fee.

If you are on Auto-Pay and are looking to cancel your lessons indefinitely, you must notify us by the 15th of the month prior to stopping lessons.

Group Lessons require notice by the 15th of the month prior to stopping lessons.

Q. I took my child to a big pool and he/she is scared to swim. How can I help them?

A. The first time you take your child to a big pool, be reasonable with your expectations. The big pool is a new environment that is different from SwimLabs. Cooler deeper water, a less controlled environment and more things happening can contribute to a lack of motivation for your child to show off their swimming skills. Don’t force them to swim, let them choose. If you’ve seen their swimming at SwimLabs, trust that they will show you their strokes when they are ready. Get in the water with them and make sure they have a good time and are comfortable in this new environment. Once they are comfortable, they will want to show off what they can do.

Also, please refer to the "Are these the only pools you have?" question above.
