Janey Dufauchard , Operations Manager

I joined the SwimLabs front desk team in 2016, after bringing my sons here for Competitive Video Analysis lessons. Prior to being a mom, I was a kindergarten teacher. My favorite part of coming to work every day is the interaction with the littles who are learning to swim, the competitive swimmers who are trying to make zones cuts and improve their times, and the adults who are furthering a life skill!

Kristin

Client Services & Instructor

Swimming has been a big part of my life – I grew up in the Littleton area swimming at both the summer club level as well as competitively. I started swimming competitively around the age of 12 and swam for Foothills Swim Team excelling in both butterfly and breaststroke events. I lifeguarded and taught swim lessons throughout high school and college. I swam two years at a D1 college (Tulane University) before quitting in order to focus on my academics. I hung up my suit for several years while I started a family. My three children all swam competitively for many years and now that they are grown and in college, I miss being around the pool all of the time. This is why I choose to work at SwimLabs! I also currently work as a statistician at Denver Health full time.

I have been swimming since I can remember! I am 20 years old and I have been swimming since I was about 5 years old. I took lessons here at SwimLabs and I have since grown a love for the sport. When I was 15, I started teaching lessons for my summer club swim team and loved every minute of it. I cant wait to continue growing as a swim instructor and continue to help kids feel safer in the water!

Eric Eikenbary, an Ohio native, comes to SwimLabs with a lifetime of swimming experience. His swimming journey began as an age-group swimmer at the Van Wert (OH) YMCA in 1985. It is a journey that has taken him to nearly all 50 states and Burnaby, Canada. “I have traveled to 49 of the 50 United States in my life and most of those visits have been swimming related, as a swimmer, coach, or ambassador. Spreading my influence has been important to me. Now, I’m ready to draw that influence in a little closer and share my energy and knowledge in my local South Denver community.”

In the spring of 2024 Eric accepted the position of Head Coach of Boys & Girls Swimming at Arapahoe High School. Despite coaching at the club level for 17 years (Colorado STARS, Highlands Ranch Aquatics and the Foothill Swim Team), and the collegiate level for 9 (Princeton University, The University of Kansas, and The University of Findlay (OH), the Arapahoe Warriors appointment is the first high school coaching for Eric. He is off to a good start… he was awarded the 5A CHSAA Girls Swimming Coach of the Year Award his inaugural season with the Warriors.

Collegiately, Eric competed at Ashland University (OH) - an NCAA, Division II school - where he was a four-year, twelve-time All-American. In 2007, Eric was inducted into the Ashland University Athletics Hall of Fame.

She is drawn to roles which allow her to share her knowledge and create excitement for learning, whether it be in the classroom or the pool.

Olivia

Front Desk

While I don't focus on astrology, I am a Pisces, which may in part account for my love of the water and swimming. I grew up swimming competitively in Tennessee. My passion around all things swimming was reignited through my own two children who started with summer club, with my daughter going on to swim competitively, including as a D1 athlete with the University of Hawaii. I've also dabbled in Masters Swimming over the years. I was recently reintroduced to SwimLabs when I brought my granddaughter for lessons. I'm thrilled to be poolside as part of the SwimLabs team.

Coach Ryan

Instructor

I love swimming! I've been doing it since I was 6 and I'm going into my sophomore year at Littleton High School. I swim for the school and for Slipstream Aquatics. In the summers, I coach a summer swim team in my neighborhood, which I really enjoy. I'm excited to meet new people and have a great time at SwimLabs!

Coach Cori

Instructor

I'm a sophomore at Pike's Peak state College studying radiology. I joined the SwimLabs staff so I could help kids learn the safety of the water while having fun doing so!

Coach Erica

Instructor

Since I started getting swim lessons at SwimLabs when I was 5 years old, swimming has been a big part of my life. While forgoing high school swimming, I’ve been on no shortage of teams. From my neighborhood team in the summer, to SwimLabs own Sawfish team, from the Wheatland Sharks to DSA, my childhood is full of long practices and nerve racking meets. While my competitive days are behind me, I can now focus on giving children and adults alike the essential skill of swimming and showing them all the joy that comes with it, while perusing my education and certifications.

Coach Sofia

Instructor

My name is Sofia Herfter and I’m a senior at Rock Canyon High School. I’ve been swimming since I was 9 years old, and it’s been a big part of my life ever since. I did three years of summer swim with the Seahawks and Tigersharks, and I swam with HRA for five years. I’ve also been on the Rock Canyon swim team all four years of high school. Outside of swimming, I enjoy playing the electric bass, working on ceramics, and spending time with my friends and family.

Coach Lydia

MaKenna is a senior at Rock Canyon High School this year. She's loved being in the water her whole life and working with kids. When she's not at the pool, she completes in DECA and FBLA as well as working in performing arts. She loves being around kids and teaching them to love water as much as she does!

Coach Brenda

Instructor

Born in Calgary, Alberta, Canada her growing years were always active ones. Skiing, horseback riding, swimming, volleyball, camping … and when not participating she was teaching or coaching them. An Elite volleyball player in High School and College. Early adulthood training and showing horses filled the years. Next marriage and motherhood made her cup runneth over…5 kiddos!! And all the parenting, volunteering, coaching and patience that entails. Through it all (last 20 years) swimming has been her happy place. Teaching groups and privates from 6 months to 60 years, she has taught them all. Her specialty though might be the little ones, so rewarding to see them smile with success and gain confidence. If you need references, you could ask any of her 6 pool confident grandchildren! Brenda is very excited to be part of the SwimLabs Family!

Coach Beau

Instructor

I’ve been in the water since I was a baby and started competitive swimming when I was nine years old. I swam for two seasons on the Mountain Vista High School swim team, and I’m currently a senior at Vista. As a Colorado native, I love being in the water and helping others gain confidence and improve their swimming skills.

Coach Kylee

Instructor

I’ve been swimming for as long as I can remember! My dad taught me how to swim in our neighborhood pool, and I’ve been in water probably more than I’ve been on land! I joined a Jr. Swim team while traveling in Canada when I was 9, and it became routine every summer until I was 16. Along with swim team, I would lifeguard at the local pool in Canada, and teach swim lessons to all ages every summer. I got my first job at our sister company in 2015, and have genuinely enjoyed every year I’ve spent teaching and coaching. My goal is to teach every age water safety, and confidence in the water so everybody can enjoy it the way I have my entire life!

Coach Sean

Sean grew up in Wisconsin and lived walking distance from Lake Michigan for most of his life.
