Frequently Asked Questions

Here are the answers to some of the most popular questions we get asked

Starting a new activity can be overwhelming or intimidating. We want to make sure you are prepared and excited for your lessons with us! Below are answers to some of our most frequently asked questions! ace with:

Q. Do you offer a Free Trial?

Yes! We offer Free Trial classes for Group Lessons for new swimmers! Sign up today! *At participating locations only

Q. How do I sign up for Group Lessons?

Please call or email us to schedule your swimmer's Group Lessons. This way we can assure that your swimmer is placed in the appropriate class!

Q. How do I sign up for Private or Competitive Lessons?

You can schedule these lessons online via the "Find a Class" button below or call us to schedule.

Q. What do I need to bring to my lesson?

Please bring a swimsuit, towel, goggles, and a swim cap or hair tie (for swimmers with long hair). Don't have one of these items? Don't worry! All of these items are available for purchase at our schools. Swimmers who are not potty-trained are required to wear a reusable swim diaper, which are also available for purchase at our school.

Q. Do you offer make-ups?

Life happens, we get it! Swimmers are eligible for 1 make-up class each calendar month due to an absence. Please note that make-ups need to be used within 2 weeks of the absence and are based on schedule availability.

Q. Do I have to start at the beginning of the month (when is the next session)?

No, you can jump in today! We offer a rolling start date so your swimmer can start at any point!

Q. Do you have a big pool in addition to the endless pools?

No... We teach in the SwimLabs endless pools because they are the perfect environment for learning to swim and for fine-tuning technique! For children learning to swim, the pools offer a warm, secure environment with less distraction, allowing the child to focus. We also have a bench inside the perimeter of the pool providing swimmers a secure and safe place to stand when waiting their turn.

For competitive swimmers and triathletes, being in the SwimLabs pool provides our coaches a 360° view of each swimmer's stroke, including an underwater angle. Like a treadmill for a runner, our pools have a current that allows the swimmers to swim in place, enhancing the effectiveness of the videos captured.

Q. How does Auto-Payment work for Private and Group Lessons?

Auto-Payment reserves your swimmer's spot in the same group (same day and time) or private lesson time-slot every week ongoing.

Recurring payments will be charged on the first business day of each month and the initial payment will be due upon registration and if needed, will be prorated to the first of the month. Each month you will be charged for the number of lessons based on the number of weeks for that month. For example, if there are 5 weeks in a month and you have 5 lessons for that month, you will be charged for all 5 lessons. If there is a holiday on one of your lesson days, you will not be charged for that lesson day.

If you need to withdrawal from Auto-Payment, you must notify us by the 15th of the month prior to avoid being charged for the following month. There are no exceptions.

Q. What is your cancellation policy for Private Lessons?

We require 24-hour notice for Private Lesson cancellations and rescheduling, and 48-hour notice for competitive lesson cancellations and rescheduling. If you call to cancel or reschedule within this window, you will be charged a $25 late cancel/reschedule fee. Any lessons late cancelled with an elite coach will be charged a $40 late cancel/reschedule fee.

If you are on Auto-Pay for Private Group Lessons, you must notify us by the 15th of the month prior to stopping lessons.

Q. How do I withdrawal from lessons?

We hate to see you go! To withdraw a student from lessons under any program after the student has begun taking lessons within that program, please notify our front desk team of your decision to discontinue lessons. In order to avoid being charged for the next month of lessons, you must withdraw your student on or before the 15th day of the month. If you choose to withdraw after the 15th of the month, you may receive a partial refund. Drops submitted between the 25th and the end of the month will result in a 50% refund and between the 1st and 7th of the following month will result in a refund of 25% of tuition. After the 7th, you are no longer eligible for a refund.
