Abigail has been swimming since she was 5 years old. Her love for the sport began with the Sienna Sharks summer league team. She swam with the SPA team for 2 years and with PLAT for 6 years. Joining this team boosted her love for swimming and allowed her to grow in the sport. Then she joined FCST. For the past 3 years, she has also been a part of the Ridge Point High School swim and water polo teams and is one of the captains. FCST and RPHS have given her many opportunities to volunteer to teach younger kids in the water. She is also in the PALs program at her high school. Once she goes to college, she hopes to continue swimming recreationally.
Coach Addison is a competitive swimmer on FCST. She also does her high school Varsity swim team at Austin high school. Her favorite stroke is butterfly. She teaches and coaches swim as a way to share her passion for this sport. She loves to see the improvement over time and the instant moment that different skills click with the swimmers. She wants to continue to share her love for swimming with others.
Coach Alexis is a competitive swimmer. She swims for FCST and the Clements High School team. Her favorite stroke is Backstroke and she loves racing. Her favorite part of teaching is seeing students smile when they learn something new. Most importantly she wants to share her love of swimming with others.
Coach Brandon has been swimming for 18 years on various teams in Indiana and Texas. His swimming experience includes club teams as well as Clements High school swim team. He Coached on FCST for 6 years and has been teaching people how to swim for more than 10 years.
Coach Cris has been working at SwimLabs since April of 2021. His favorite stroke is butterfly. He started swimming at the age of 9. He has 4 years of coaching/instructing. His favorite part of being a swim instructor is when a student is able to break the 100 stroke mark and be entered into the 100 Stroke Club!
Cate Love has been swimming for eleven years, from high school swimming to competitive swimming. She has found a great love in this sport from constantly learning new techniques and meeting some of her best friends, who have inspired her to continue to grow. As someone who has always had a deep passion for the water and a love for helping others realize their potential, she is glad to have the ability to guide and inspire young swimmers. Imparting her knowledge and witnessing their growth is a privilege she cherishes!
Eliab is currently in the varsity swim team winning events in districts and swimming in regionals as well. Eliab wants to share his love for swimming in hopes that other swimmers will be able to enjoy it as much as he does.
Gianna has enjoyed pursuing competitive swimming for 10 years and plans to continue swimming in college. She started swimming when she was 6 years old and throughout her years in the water, swimming has made such an incredibly positive impact on her life. She has swam at state 3 times, she is currently on the First Colony Swim Team and she is also captain of her high school's swim and water polo team. She has had the privilege to work with kids in the pool to help teach lessons to young children, both inexperienced and experienced. She always aims to implement a positive mindset because it provides confidence not only in the pool for your child but also out of the water. She continually embraces children's confidence and joy for swimming.
Coach Kathleen has been a swimming instructor and competitive swim coach for over 10 years. She began teaching swim lessons in 2010 to children ranging from infants to 14 years old, with emphasis on water safety skills, proper technique, and stroke enhancement. She has also been an assistant coach for TAAF (Texas Amateur Athletic Federation), YMCA, and other summer swim leagues, frequently attending state and regional swim meets. She also teaches basic swimming skills to adults of all ages. As a swim mom, she also enjoys volunteering at swim meets with her 2 daughters, both competitive swimmers, as judge, timer, and other roles.
Coach Kerry has been swimming since she was a child. She swam for her High School team in Ventura, CA. She continued to join Masters Swim programs wherever she lived. She swam competitively again in meets in 2010, and enjoys yearly open water swims. In college she taught swim lessons and coached swim teams. She also was an official for the Lakes On Eldridge Dolphins summer league team. She works with all ages and all levels. Her favorite stroke is breast stroke. She currently enjoys spending time with her family, painting, cycling, swimming, graphic design and photography.
Coach Lorin has been swimming since he was 14 years old. A swifter rise to speed than typical, he held AAAA times in Freestyle by the age of 17 and won the 50-m Freestyle at Junior Olympics in El Paso, TX. A graduate of the Honors Program at UH, he holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering and worked in the chemical manufacturing industry for many years, all the while coaching swimming part-time or on a volunteer basis. After about 14 years in the profession, he left engineering to coach and be the primary caretaker for his two sons. Lorin specializes in minimizing/eliminating shoulder pain, enjoys working with the mental aspect of high performance, and wonders why video analysis is not a standard in the swimming community like it is at SwimLabs!
Coach Luna has been swimming since childhood. She swam competitively for Stafford High School all four years. She has been a swim instructor since 2019 and attends University of Houston for her nursing degree. She enjoys teaching kids of all ages and levels.
Sophia has been a swimmer since she was six years old. She started swimming in summer league and then took her love for swimming to First Colony Swim Team, where she is still competing today. Up until she was twelve, she also competed in triathlons. This led her to begin her running career. She also currently runs distance at George Ranch High School. Sophia has helped her young neighbors with their strokes and looks forward to helping others.
