SwimLabs Utah Facebook followers came through with the most likes and posts of all Streamline Brands Swim School locations throughout the United States to win an exclusive visit from Franklin.
Missy’s visit will include a public meeting as well as a series of lessons offered to the winners of our I Swim Because Facebook contest.
Public Event: 12-1:30 p.m.
Franklin will participate in a public event where she will sign autographs, take pictures, speak about her Olympic career and answer questions on her career, technique and favorite swimming memories.
Swim With Missy Contest Lessons: 1:30-3 p.m.
After her public appearance, Franklin will teach lessons to the lucky winners of our I Swim Because contest from 1:30-3:00 p.m.
SwimLabs invites clients and guests to gather and learn valuable tips and pointers from the lessons of fellow team members and friends in the four instructional groups!Missy Franklin began her swimming career with swim lessons at just six months old, in part due her mother’s own fear of water. After a successful club and high school career, Franklin went on to compete in the 2012 London Summer Olympics, where she won five medals (four gold and one bronze). In the 2016 Rio Olympic Games, Missy Franklin rounded out her medal count with an additional gold medal in the 4 x 200 freestyle relay. She continues to hold the world record in both the 200-meter backstroke and 4 x 100-meter medley relay.
As a partner and ambassador to the SwimLabs team, Missy Franklin has been instrumental in initiating new ways to communicate and teach skill and technique to swimmers of all ages.
