SwimLabs' Mike Mann Breaks World Records!

August’s Missy Medal for Achievement went to SwimLabs co-founder Michael Mann for setting not one, not two, but three world records at the Masters’ Summer National Meet in Mission Viejo, California. Along with Colorado teammates Craig Petersen, Kirk Andersen, and Greg C. Scott, Michael set a new world record in the (combined ages) 240-279 400-meter Medley Relay. They beat the previous record by 4.53 seconds in a time of 4:32.15.

Swimlabs & Children's Hospital of Colorado Team Up to Raise Money for Pediatric Cancer Research

SwimLabs Highlands Ranch is proud to be a sponsor of the inaugural Swim Across America, Denver, open water swim at Chatfield Reservoir. The swim, which offers Balloon Splash, 1/2-mile, 1-mile and 5k distances, will occur the morning of August 26, 2018. The 5k swim (first wave) begins at 9am. SwimLabs founder, Mike Mann, is on the organizing committee, chaired by longtime SwimLabs friend, Nicole Vanderpoel. Proceeds from the swim will benefit Children’s Hospital of Colorado in support of pediatric cancer research.

SwimSwam reports -  “The University of Florida has split its men’s and women’s swim & dive programs, promoting former assistants Anthony Nesty and Jeff Poppell to head the men’s and women’s programs, respectively. …The split programs go against the current of NCAA programs, which have seen far more teams combining previously single-gender programs than splitting previously combined programs.”
